2. General notes
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
3. Data collection on this website
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (for example your browser, operating system, time of the page view, IP address). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse how you use the site.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO's servers are located exclusively in Germany. The personal data collected on this website is stored on STRATO's servers. This may include IP addresses, meta and communication data, website access data and other data generated via a website. We use this host in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can find further information in STRATO's privacy policy: strato.de/datenschutz.
5. Your rights
Information, correction and deletion
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing, and where applicable a right to have this data corrected or deleted.
Withdrawing your consent
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Germany).
6. Contact by email, phone and WhatsApp
If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, your enquiry including all resulting personal data will be stored by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
When using WhatsApp, data is processed by Meta Platforms. We recommend transmitting confidential information by email instead. WhatsApp's privacy notice: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
7. Signing up for the "Summer Night Concerts"
On the page shareyourself.de/en/summernights you can use a short form to let us know that you will be joining the "Summer Night Concerts" (online music evenings on Zoom). We collect the data you enter yourself: your name, your email address, the evenings you select and – if you fill it in – an optional message. For technical reasons, the time of your reply and your IP address are also stored.
Purpose of the processing
We use this data solely to plan the evenings, to remind you of the dates and, if you wish, to pass the access details for the Zoom room on to you. The access link is not sent automatically; it is passed on personally by email or via WhatsApp (see section 6). Your data is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
Storage
The data is stored on our own web space at STRATO AG (servers in Germany). No external newsletter or marketing service is used.
Taking part via Zoom
The evenings themselves take place on Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc.). If you take part, Zoom processes the data required for this – for example the display name you choose, your IP address as well as picture and sound if you switch on your camera or microphone. The evenings are currently not recorded. Zoom's privacy notice applies in addition: zoom.com/de/trust/privacy.
Legal basis
The processing is based on your consent, which you give by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and on carrying out the participation you have requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Storage period & withdrawal
We store your reply for the duration of the event series and delete it afterwards, at the latest within three months of the final evening – unless you would like to be informed about future offerings. You can withdraw your consent at any time informally by email to anmeldung@shareyourself.de; we will then delete your data immediately.
8. Google Fonts
This site uses Google Fonts, provided by Google LLC, for a consistent presentation of typefaces. When you open a page, your browser loads the required fonts into its cache. To do this, the browser you are using has to connect to Google's servers. As a result, Google learns that this website was accessed via your IP address. Google Fonts is used in the interest of a consistent and appealing presentation of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can find further information at policies.google.com/privacy.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
